What We Do

Breakfast at Casa Anglicana

The Camino Chaplaincy provides pastoral care, spiritual support and sacraments to pilgrims entering Santiago de Compostela.  As Anglicans we welcome all baptised to receive the eucharist with us.

You may see our chaplains greeting pilgrims around town, at Casa Anglicana del Peregrino, and at San Félix.  While seasons and schedules vary, when a chaplain is on duty, we aim to offer Morning Prayer at Casa Anglicana and a late afternoon (normally at 16:00/ 4:00 PM ) Daily Eucharist at San Félix.

Historians date the original church to the 9th century. Damaged during the Moorish invasions, it was rebuilt around 1122.

Beginning in February 2025, we will be transitioning to a new church for ministry. Though we have enjoyed the use of a church in the Alameda Park for several years, San Félix (known affectionately as “San Fiz”) is located in the old city, near the Mercado Abastos, about a five-minute, 450-meter walk from Casa Anglicana.

The church will be open when there
is a volunteer chaplain on duty.
For updates on the schedule, please check with the receptionist at Casa Anglicana casanglicana@gmail.com.

A porch and polychromed Tympanum of the Adoration of the Magi was added in 1316.

The interior has a fine baroque reredos.
